COP21 (Conference of the Parties) was held in Paris at the start of December 2015,
A non binding agreement was reached between close to 200 nations, where efforts by each would combine to slow the effects of climate change.
The main aim was to keep temperatures well below 2 degrees Celsius of what they were in pre industrial times.
COP21 was to be the largest international conferences ever held in France, with 50.000 participants expected, mere two weeks after multiple terrorist attacks were made in the city. The atmosphere of the high stake event swung between hope and despair, where delegates, participants and protesters all played a part towards a shifting goal.
