Icelandic musicians

Iceland´s music scene has since the 1930s been characterised by a a scope and scale of creativity seldom found in a population so small, a mere 330.000 souls living on an island in the North Atlantic Ocean. From 2000-2004 I spent time inside the sphere, or halo, of some of those musicians, as they played, performed, practiced, toured and recorded. For the moments and music they shared with me, I am forever grateful to Daníel Ágúst Haraldsson, Indigo, Tenderfoot, Leaves and Moody Company.

In loving memory of Siggi Ármann and Helgi Georgsson.
